Facilities - Alexandra Road

Purpose built 1980s premises situated just north of the town centre and opposite the community hospital.

Doctors have individual consulting tooms. There is a GP trainee room, 2 nurse practitioner rooms, 2 nurse/treatment rooms and a HCA room. Administrative staff are situated upstairs.

There is an on site pharmacy (not practice owned).

Patient parking at Alexandra Road is on-street parking, although there is a small car park at the rear of the building for GPs.

Facilities - Crestview

Crestview was also purpose built in the 1980s, as a small branch surgery. In recent years it has had 2 significant extensions and now has 8 consulting rooms and 3 nurse/treatment rooms, allowing all GPs to have individual consulting rooms and to allow for expansion. It also has a large meeting/training room. Crestview has a large car park sufficient for all staff and patients.

Both sites are owned by the partners and subject to the notional rent scheme. Both sites use EMIS Web. The medical systems at the sites are linked, enabling patient records to be accessed, and therefor patients can be seen, at either site.

Most Partners are based at one specific site, but provide cross cover for holidays and sickness. Registrars are also based at one specific site with their trainer.

We offer most (99%) enhanced services, including minor surgery and minor injury clinics. We are a very high QOF achieving practice.

Partner meetings are held on Tuesday mornings and clinical meetings each Thursday lunchtime (with lunch!), Registrars are expected to attend both weekly meetings.
